This property is an apartment in a private home. The apartment has a separate entrance, which allows the guests to come and go at their leisure. The entire structure is made of cement. The apartment is made up of a great room, over 500sq ft, which has a dining room set for 4 persons, a queen-sized bed and a full-sized futon (which serves as a couch during the day and folds out into a full-sized bed for sleeping. It has a separate kitchen and a separate bathroom, for the guests' use only (not shared). The apartment has a large color TV, with a VCR, CD Player/Stereo, and a DVD player. Linens and cookware are provided. We have added a swimming pool to the property, which is shared between the owners and the guests. This property is close to Jobos, Shacks, and Montones beaches and is a short drive to Wilderness and Crashboat beaches. The old Ramey military base (once Air Force, then Navy, now Coast Guard) has a golf course which is also a short drive from here. We are located between 2 resorts which are Villa Montana and Villas del Mar Hau (no affiliation to either), each with its own gourment restaurant, Eclipse and Olas y Arena, respectively. We are also very close to a horse back riding ranch as well as a surf shop that rents surf boards and dive gear, whether for snorkeling or for scuba. As we are on the Northwest coast of Puerto Rico, it is much less of a drive to visit some of the main sites on this end of the island, such as the Arecibo RadioTelescope Observatory which is actively involved in the search for extraterrestrial intelligence. We are also a closer drive when it comes to visiting the Rio de Camuy Caverns in Camuy. While the closest airport is Rafael Hernandez in Aguadilla (which will soon have direct flights from JFK in New York via Continental Airlines 4 days a week), some of our guests fly into San Juan first, then after a couple of days, drive west to see the sights on this end of the island.
