The house is built on a beautiful spot right near the water. Which will be seldom in the future since no building will be allowed near the sea. At the same time the devastating tsunami from December last year has not reached this wonderful place. The house not only has wonderful scenery, but is also close to Colombo, Katunayake airport, Free Trade zone, the tourist area and the Muthurajawela nature preserve.
Negombo is a wellknown tourist town. Along the beach there are many hotels, restaurants and guesthouses. The town has a wel established International School, Hospitals, Supermarkets, internet cafe's and all other basic facilities.
In 1996 the house was built on one of the most beautiful spots on the lagoon, just 2km away from the centre of town. It consists out of four buildings embracing a spacious verandah from which one can see the sun rise over the lagoon. Unfortunately the house does not look at its best, since it has been unoccupied for a while. Cleaning, painting, and upgrading the garden however will do wonders, since the construction is good.
The building has four bedrooms, three toilets, a bathroom with bath and separate schower, hot and cold running water (solar powered), a living room, western styled kitchen, a laundry room, servant toilet, a store room, two guests (or office) rooms, an IDD (national and international) telephone connection and an independent water supply system.
