The buildings all of log timber are mainly unaltered from the 19th century in traditional Dalarna red, with a few additions from the turn of the century. All buildings are set in an exceptionally beautiful garden amidst the picture-postcard village of Dala-Floda.
The majority of this village and other villages in the environment look no different than they would have done one hundred years ago.

In Summer there is wild-water rafting boating, water-skiing, walks through the splendid surrounding forests, fishing, golf, kayaking, and of course visits to all there is of cultural interest in the area.
In winter there is skating, sleighing, cross-country skiing and “sparking� (pictures on the web).
