Today, after so many centuries of history, it appears in its present form, imposing stone facade with one tall tower, Renaissance arches, cross vaultedceilings, large stone fireplaces, lovely flooring of oak parquet or terracotta. It is situated in a fenced off park of 9 acres, abundant of secular trees, flower beds, and beautiful plants.

There is a big swimming pool and a tennis court. Adjacent to the pool there is a toilet, a small bar area and a shower. The castle interiors, decorated with splendid frescos, are very tastefully furnished with elegant and valuable pieces of furniture. On the ground floor there is a living room with big fireplace and a billiard, a dining room, sitting room with cable TV, large country kitchen, restroom and the laundry.

On the first floor there is a wide entrance hall, a large living room overlooking the lake with another big fireplace, two double bedrooms with their privat bathroom, one single bedroom, another double bedroom with one bathroom. This beautiful property has been used as the summer holiday residence of the Palombaro family since the end of the Nineteenth century. Only in 1993 its doors where finally opened to the public and rented out. This exclusive atmosphere represents a unique experience. In the serene countryside, where the stillness is punctuated only by the sounds of wild birds and the cicadas, it is hard to imagine that Hannibal celebrated his great victory over Rome on the shores below.
