Situated in prestigious Imerovigli only fifteen minutes by foot to the island's center, this traditional cave house offers three levels of terraces to take in its panoramic view and the mythical volcano.
This traditionally architectured home has been recently renovated and upgraded to offer the old with the new, providing the comforts and luxury of home. It consists of three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, a large living room and kitchen. The domed masterbedroom has been bulit deep into the rock and has its ownmediterranean tiled en suite sitting room and bathroom with shower. The second bedroom, also with a double bed, lies behind the grand living room and has cathedral ceilings. The third bedroom is a separate unit in itself, one we call the "honeymoon suite." Existing onthe terrace above it has its own bathroom and balcony. The kitchen consists of a "breakfast nook" and wraps around to the oven/stove and traditional Santorinian cermaic sink above which is a charming blue framed window with a view to the splendor of the sea below.
The exquisite village of Imerovigli hosts some of the island's most exclusive hotels and itself offers restaurants, shops, car rental agencies and mini markets. Exploring the goings on in the island's capital of Fira is only a short walk away on a lovely cliffside footpath. Scattered along its narrow pbbled streets you will find charming shops, a great variety of restaurants and tavernas and a bustling yet upscale nightlife. In Fira;s early morning hours, local fishermen come to the square with their morning's catches. Might we suggest picking up the island's delicious local fish to barbeque on the grill back at home?
For those who want to fill their days the island is full of things to do including visiting the archaelogical sights, cultural museums, ancient Byzantine churches, charming wineries, and discovering its many traditional villages. For the advernturous, many watersports are offered including snorkeling and diving as well as sailing. Take a ride on a donkely to the old port where you can go on an excurion to the volcano and swim in its hot springs or, quite simply bask in the beauty of the warm Mediterranean sun and enjoy the simple pleasure of the majical spell of your surrondings.
