Perfectly placed, each lot is designated for one private residence. Situated below a wooded promontory of totally unspoilt land, facing west, on the leeward shore. Commanding spectacular views, encompassing uninhabited islands,
magical sunsets, and taking full advantage of the cooling trade winds.
Residents share access to a secluded, coral-stone Cove. Prospect estate is an enticing little oasis, the land sloping down from the secondary road to the sea.
Carriacou is the undiscovered Caribbean, where time is kept by the passing sun.
The PROSPECT ESTATE, and the Country Inn, is situated at the northern end of Carriacou on the fringe of thigh North National Park, undoubtedly the most green and undeveloped part of the island. In 1784 the Prospect Plantation amounted to 131 acres.
“The most beautiful and romantic spot on the island.
With sea and sunset views, the chances are you won’t want to wander. The New York Times
Undisturbed since the old plantation days, with its rich and fertile soil, there are many mature trees and an abundance of wildlife, including the iguana. A great variety of land and sea birds are attracted to this secret and breezy location. The daily spectacle, at dawn and dusk, are several magnificent macaws, flying in and out for their daily treats. The only macaws flying free on the island, rescued and rehabilitated by Wendy Cooper, they now regard the thickly forested slopes of High North as their territory.
A nature trail runs along the coast, within the estate, beneath old tamarind trees, and a gateway leads directly onto a secluded Cove. The sea frontage has been lovingly planted out with palms, coconuts, calabash, and a variety of tropical trees and plants. A pristine coral reef, immediately offshore, is excellent for snorkeling, and you will discover a sandy lagoon for swimming. For most of the year it is possible to anchor a sailboat in the Bay and put down a permanent mooring. A dinghy Jetty could quite easily be constructed.
