Location

The Palace Hotel will be constructed on a 12-acre site just 2km from the Sigiriya Rock. Being in such close proximity all buildings will be made of Sigiriya brick and will be constructed to look like a ruin of the ancient kingdom, while also creating an open courtyard to the road, which will offer views of the open areas beyond.

The site will be set aside solely for the hotel and guest facilities. Existing trees and shrubs along the boundary are to be kept untouched to minimise the impact of the development on the surroundings. The only indication of the hotel along the boundary will be a detailed gateway entrance ideally placed opposite the courtyard.
