Sea Side Cottage Development is located on the capes of the western end of Prince Edward Island between West Point and North Point in the hamlet of Cape Wolfe within miles of beautiful windswept red sand beaches and rugged sandstone capes. The beaches are virtually unspoiled and private.

Sea Side is on 3 acres of private sandy beach a short drive from the Towns of Oâ€™Leary and Alberton where shopping and restaurants are available. A short distance (approximately one mile) is the picturesque Howardâ€™s Cove, a bustling lobster and fishing port. During the month of August in lobster season you can go down to the cove and wait for one of the Cape Islander lobster boats to dock and the friendly fishermen will be happy to weigh up and sell you some fresh from the water live lobsters at a very reasonable price.

Itâ€™s simple to cook them. Just boil a large pot of water with a big handful of salt. Slip the lobsters in and boil for 7-10 minutes. Enjoy! After buying and cooking your own lobsters this way, you will never want to eat them anywhere else again! Incomparable!

If you like golf, there are many excellent golf courses throughout the island, one of the best is conveniently located at Mill River, approximately 45 minutes away.

Throughout the island there are many fine restaurants and live theatre is plentiful. Major centres such as Summerside (approximately one hour away) and the capital city of Charlottown (approximately two hours away) are a pleasure to visit and contain restaurants, entertainment and shopping.

What's the weather like?

Spring is comfortable. Late May and early June are alive with colour and temperatures usually range from 8 to 22 degrees C (46 to 71 degrees F). Summer is hot, but rarely humid. We wear short sleeves. Daytime temperatures are usually in the 20s (70s) and can go as high as 32 degrees C (90 degrees F). Autumn is clear and bright. September afternoons can be quite warm, evenings cool. Temperatures range from 8 to 22 degrees C (46 to 71 degrees F). Winter is crisp and clean. Temperatures usually range from -3 to -11 degrees C (26 to 11 degrees F).

(Winters on the capes are very windy, snowy and cold, and we do not recommend winterizing of cottages in this area. Cottages can be enjoyed from April to October but over the winter months would not be very practical.)

Seaside Cottage Development is a small project with eleven cottage lots ranging from 1 acre to ........ Five of the lots are 1-acre beachfront and all lots have full ocean and beach view and access to the three-acre shared beach.

One of the beachfront lots is sold and the owners have built an attractive cottage. Another of the beachfront lots has an already existing three-bedroom cottage with breezeway and garage. This cottage and lot is available for a price of $175,000. The three remaining one acre lots are $50,000 each and the remaining smaller lots are $30,000-$40,000, depending on size and location.
