The building is very small and old (and the staircase shows it) but the size makes the apartment delightful since it's the only apartment on the floor and therefore you have windows on both the front and the bank of the building. The courtyard is an especially nice feature.

The living room has a couch (the French name is a "gigogne") that converts to a single bed, but with a trundle bed arrangement. I've slept on it myself and it's quite comfortable, should you have an overnight guest. The living room also has side chairs and a desk.

There's a lot of light in the apartment and there are windows in the kitchen (tiny by American standards, but small and nice by Paris standards). The kitchen includes coffeemaker, microwave, mixer, refrigerator, oven, and four burner, stove-top.

The bedroom is located down one flight with beautiful cut stone walls. It has a king sized bed (rare in Paris) with a wonderful, firm mattress, and plenty of space for luggage, and an armoire.

There's a dining are that looks out onto a small courtyard.

The bathroom boasts a marble shower.

There's a telephone, television, and answering machine. Also an iron and ironing board.

I also leave a "pay as you go" cellular phone with the apartment for your use, which I think you will find incredibly handy.

The Cluny Suite is very comfortable, and it's in a great location between the Pantheon and Notre Dame, about two blocks from the Pantheon. This places it in the midst of some of the best bus lines to any part of Paris, and of course it's in walking distance to the Sorbonne and the tourist heart of Paris. Despite the proximity, it's on a quiet, residential, very French street and the neighborhood shops and bakeries are excellent. If you're a runner, it's also most convenient to the Luxembourg Gardens, one of Paris' best places to run, walk, and watch people!
