• Just an hour drive from Dalaman Airport, the Turquoise coast boasts some of Turkey's best beaches.
• Calis is the nearest beach, a 15 minute water taxi ride from Fethiye. The boat trip across is enjoyable and the beach is definitely worth a visit as the breeze from the Mediterranean is refreshingly cool. Fantastic for an easy tan with no 'hot and bother'.
• Oludeniz perhaps one of the most beautiful beaches in the med is accessed by the local dolmus. The beach forms the dreamlike Blue Lagoon known as 'a paradise that God granted to the earth'. A very fine place with 3km of natural sandy beach and crystaline blue waters in enchanting surroundings and mountain scenery.
• Around Fethiye are numerous unspoiled rocky coves, crystalline seas, offshore islands, cliffs and pine-covered mountains affording as much relaxation or activity as one chooses.
• From ancient port to the relaxing beachside, Fethiye provides the perfect base, both for exploring or just whiling away your time.
• The town retains a sense of its old-fashioned rural character, with herds of goats and sheep blocking the roads on market days and the smell of herbs and spices in the air. The bazaar is the biggest in the area and is a must for bargain hunters.
• There is a good selection of bars and restaurants within a throws distance from the house, along the harbour front and narrow streets of the old town.
