      After a number of enquiries, we have included more information on the history of the chalet and the surounding area.

      This chalet was constructed in 1957 by local tradesmen.

      This chalet has always been well taken care of by its owners and has never been rented.

      This chalet has been completely refurbished.

      The foundation of this chalet is bed rock.

      There has never been an incidence of leakage in the roof and the tiles are in good condition.

      The electrics are in excellent condition and so is the plumbing. There is no lead in the pipes or any other bad stuff anywhere else in the chalet.

      The water comes from a big dam located in the next valley. This water supply is pristine and provides pretty much the freshest, cleanest water in the world.

      There is a telephone connection to the chalet and dial up internet facilities are available.

      The nearest village is called Suen and is only a 10 minute walk from the chalet. Or if you don't feel like walking, you can drive there in less than 5 minutes.

      St Martin is a little bit bigger than Suen and is also a five minute drive away. They are both picturesque small towns with cafes, shops and are really nice.

      The nearest city is called Sion and is about 30 minutes away. Sion has all the mod cons including shopping centres, pubs, restaurants cinemas. There is also an excellent hospital and dental surgery. Sion has primary (grade) school and a high school. There are also swimming pools and anything else you might expect in a big town.       The nearest international airport is in Geneva. There were plans for an international airport in Sion but the locals rejected it because of the noise. Geneva is two hours drive from the chalet. I'm not sure if there is a domestic airport in Sion because I usually drive there from Geneva.

      The site of this chalet was selected for its peaceful, idyllic location and its privacy.

      The valley this chalet is located in has been protected from tourism. There are no skiing stations within walking distance, however, as this chalet is located in the heart of Valais (ski central), there are a great many amazing skiing locations just minutes from this chalet.

      We seem to be getting a lot of people wishing to know the price of the chalet in US dollars. Due to the current level of the Swiss Franc, you will be getting this chalet on two huge blocks of land for around US$276,000.

      For those of you out there needing high speed internet connections, the chalet's telephone line is able to be upgraded to ADSL.
