I have been assured by every builder I have spoken with that planning permission will be granted for a single family dwelling of 200 square meters living area. The cost for building in this area ranges from 400 to 800 per square meter depending on the level of finish one requires. i.e. flooring shown beams, vaulted ceilings, stone work, roof-top patio, appliances, roll-up flush mount shutters, etc.

The high-voltage power lines that just barely cross the property line can be converted to 220 volt household electricity. I have been unable to ascertain the exact cost for this. I have been told it is rather expensive perhaps even more than 15,000 Euros. Usually several landowners share this expense.

The alternatives to transforming the high voltage lines are solar and generator. Many people combine the two for a more eco friendly home. The cost for such a system is around 15,000 Euros again depending on one's needs.


I am told a nice size swimming pool with the pump and filter will cost 10,000 Euros.

A well costs 70 euros per meter and includes the pump and water line. The well water is pure in this area and needs no treatment for hardness, Iron or sulphur. Wells in this area are usually between 20 and 70 meters in depth.


Crunch the numbers and compare the cost of buying a similar property in a similar location and I am sure you will see there could be a very healthy profit involved here and without a doubt a fantastic investment.
