The Riviera del Brenta is a first-class historical, landscape and natural environment, which sprang up as a summer retreat for the Venetian aristocrats who built their wonderful holiday villas here along the banks of the river Brenta.

The immediate surroundings are characterized by the presence of three other historical Villas, including Villa Widmann and Foresteria Valmarana.
The area is easily reachable, by car and bus: the property enjoys of great tranquillity.

The property, situated in zone particularly pleasant for the surrounding landscape, shows itself directly with the main garden on the side of the Brenta river. This river, once directly ending into the Venice Lagoon, was the favourite area for the ancient Venetian aristocracy for summer vacations. Therefore, this river is the country version of the Grand Canal, showing incredible palaces, and counting many masterpieces of the famous architect Palladio. Our property is with this neoclassic style.

It is an antique Venetian â€œbarchessaâ€�? built in the 1540s. Both the outside and the inside of the building maintain all the original period features and have recently undergone a conservative restoration. This villa is characterized from a monumental porch forehead and a wide one with high carrying columns, like its twin sister Foresteria.

The two Barchesse Valmarana were the side wings of Villa Valmarana, which no longer exists, and are among the oldest of their kind. Seen from the Naviglio far bank, they preserve all their scenic beauty, facing the river in one of the most beautiful and quiet areas of the Riviera.

In the front of the house there is a 2000mq wooded garden surrounded with a high hedge, a car parking and an avenue leading to the portico. In this portico there is the main door of the house.

Behind there is another 2000mq wooded garden with a separate cartroad, one garage and two storehouses.

The main access to the property is through the wide porch (height 6,50mt, width 7mt, surface approximately 175mq): pavement, ceiling and frame of the porch have been restored just recently.

The wide wall of the building covered from the porch has revealed during the restorations trace of windows and doors similar to the existing ones of the Foresteria.

The porch is closed in head by two areas completely restored of 42 sq. m. approximately each. Currently the two premises are used as studios.

The body of the building is currently still divided in two units, with separate access. The first is composed of an entrance, a bathroom, kitchen, groundfloor sitting room; three bedrooms and bath on the first floor; mansard and room on the second floor.

The second unit has an entrance, bath, kitchen, living and dining area in the ground floor; three rooms and a non restored area in the first floor; mansard and other room on the second floor.

All mansards are habitable in the majority of the surface, with heights from two to four meters, wide spaces and typical oval windows.

The plan of complete restoration of the building has already been presented and approved. It has been partially realized with the remake of the roof and of the mansard, together with of the carrying structure of the porch and the areas used as professional studios.

At the same time all the sewage systems have been renovated, a part of new accessed and gates, and partial landscaping renovation. Both the units are supplied of independent heating.

Otherwise you could visit Padua, 20 min away by car and easily accessible by bus too.
